In September of 2014, The Mudlark Public Theatre, a popular performance space in New Orlean's 9th Ward, suffered a devastating fire. The community and local press banded together to support the Mudlark recovery effort. Pandora Gastelum, the proprietress of The Mudlark, mobilized alternative spaces in the area to keep the creative life of The Mudlark alive.
